What to expect from a
Bowen Therapy Treatment?
The session is usually performed over light clothing and typically lasts between 30 - 50 mins. Although, some moves achieve better results when the touch is applied to skin, so your therapist may ask you to loosen or remove a particular garment of clothing if necessary. Depending on the current issue being targeted, the therapy may be performed while the client is standing, seated or lying on the treatment table. Pressure of moves throughout the treatment will vary, although it won’t be forceful.
You may be asked some questions about your general health and the reason for your visit, in order to tailor the appointment accordingly to your individual needs.
It is important to keep hydrated before, during and after a treatment.
What is Bowen Muscle Therapy?
Bowen Muscle Therapy is a non-invasive bodywork technique that uses a series of gentle but firm moves over muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, nerves and fascia, to promote relief from musculoskeletal complaints. It is a remedial technique, safe for children, adults, seniors, and anyone in-between.
